Downloads not working on Mac

Hi Phil,

I get the following error message when clicking on the download link for the BMS configuration app: Invalid File Type (BMSconfig_v107.dmg)!

Same type of message when clicking on the download link for the Firmware: TAO BMS: Invalid File Type (TaoBMS_v112.hex)!

Finally, same type of message when clicking on the download link for the BMS configuration file: Invalid File Type (taobms_default.cfg)!

Is this something in my mac's security settings? The errors take over the entire window and there's no way to create an exception to continue that I can see. Has anyone else experienced these errors?

Cheers, Tom

Hi Tom,

Yes it does appear to be some setup on your Mac that does not allow downloads from the TAO Performance web site.  Can you upload a screenshot of the error message.

I found this on the web, maybe it is related: https://9to5mac.com/2020/01/03/mac-how-to-always-allow-downloads-safari/

Thanks very much, this solved the problem. I changed the setting for this website to 'Allow'.

Note that I had the same problem with a Windows computer, so likely the same issue.
